Ariana Nelson

Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by. I am so excited to be joining CDSQ. Below you can find out a little more about my various projects. If you are so inclined, you can visit my personal website to learn more!

First, I’d love to introduce everyone to my latest endeavor, my podcast. On “Keeping Cup with Ariana,” you’ll hear candid discussions about what it’s like to work in the classical music industry, as well as the ins and outs of maintaining a varied and balanced lifestyle. I open up conversation with admired friends and colleagues in order to get their distinct perspectives - with the hope of giving you a window into some different worlds. Hopefully they will leave you feeling inspired or at the very least, amused! “Keeping Cup with Ariana” is available on all major podcast platforms, and new episodes will be uploaded every Friday. You can listen to the latest episode right on this page! Click below to listen on Apple and Spotify.

Happy Holidays! Today's episode features Marisa Ishikawa, 2nd violinist of the Carpe Diem String Quartet. She and Ariana chat about quartet life, traveling, the steps they take to be able to make music together in the midst of the pandemic, and the innovative projects their group has in the works.
